The history of the Gogu winery is a story of love and passion for wine that goes back over 15 years. And this story began in 2004, when the founder and chief winemaker Ilie Gogu decided to experiment in the field of home winemaking after graduating from the Technical University of Moldova with a degree in wine technologist. The home-based winery, located in Causeni, originated from simple equipment for amateurs and the desire to create quality wines that emphasize the characteristics of the local terroir. For several years of amateur activity, the winemaker planted several hectares of vineyards and took professional courses in Germany and Romania, which led to many gold medals at the national competition of home wineries Poloboc de Aur in 2004-2014. In 2011, the Gogu winery officially becomes the Gogu Winery. is a small registered winemaker and the company is starting to modernize its equipment.
